Working Order Records makes music a truly giving experience. DC’s own Steve and Katie Petix of synth group Technophobia have created a way “to bridge the gap between musician ideology and social impact.”
According to Working Order Records “Each WOR release is a uniquely personal fundraising campaign enabled through limited-run vinyl. Partnering with artists and bands, we leverage their recorded music to help raise awareness and funding for the community-based charities they designate.”
Technophobia will be kicking off WOR first campaign with their release of “Negative Space,” ,a 12-inch single with remixes by hERETICS iN tHE lAB, Void Vision, and Alter Der Ruine. The “Negative Space” single will benefit the the nonprofit Life Pieces to Masterpieces (LTMP). The LTMP mission: “Life Pieces to Masterpieces uses artistic expression to develop character and leadership, unlock potential, and prepare African American boys and young men to transform their lives and communities.”
Technophobia will also be performing at the Black Cat on July 17th as part of their Record Release Show, also a benefit for Life Pieces to Masterpieces.
